Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2012

Astronomy was and has always been my favourite bit of science. Not that I was ever particularly good at or fond of science in general at school. And walking around the Planetarium at the Royal Observatory today I realised that I still don't understand half of it, but at least I’m interested.

One of the highlights of the Observatory was the Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibition, which showcased some simply stunning and mind-blowing images.
