Ingela P Arrhenius

Ingela P Arrhenius is a Swedish illustrator, she describes herself as having a quite na├»ve style and love[s] the design of the 50s and 60s. I saw a lot of her work when I was in Stockholm at the weekend. I bought two postcards (the first two images here) home with me – it was hard to choose only two, as she has so many lovely illustrations. I’d really have liked a poster but my bedroom is lacking in wall space.

So, errrmm, I started a Redbubble account so I could make my Monkey Island Cannibals design into a t-shirt. Mostly just because I want one myself but, y’know, if anyone else wants to buy one that would be pretty awesome too…

I spent a lovely long weekend, Friday to Monday, in Stockholm (Sweden) with Ellinor. It is somewhere I’ve wanted to visit for a little while and it was, at least, top of my Europe list of places to visit. Although the world list has dissolved into Japan, Japan, Japan – because, pretty much nowhere else matters.

We didn’t have a whole load of things planned beforehand so it was more a case of seeing what we felt like doing there and then. The weather was kind also and for the most part it certainly didn’t feel like autumn, let alone winter.

Day one (upon arrival…)
Day two (with the best weather and the most photos)
Day three & four (mostly spent in museum not taking photos)
