Today was/is sunny. I took a stroll to Willen Lake, with mum, via Campbell Park. It's a nice walk to get there as well as around the lake(s).

Olympic Doodles

I haven't been to any Olympic events and I haven't even watched all that many on the tv. I'm not at all into sports (aside from swimming) but I have found what I have watched to be enjoyable, and I'm happy GB is doing so well.

I did however enjoy playing the Google hurdles mini game a few days ago and have appreciated the Google Doodle illustrations on the days previous. It's worth having Google as my homepage, if only to see each day's Doodle.

Pentax Photos

I found my old Pentax film camera (used to be my dad's) when I came home. I know from previously using the camera that it takes wonderful photos with awesome colours. When I found the camera again, four or five photographs had already been taken and I couldn't remember when. So when I got the film developed the first photos were a surprise!

I love comic books and I love awesome illustration. Awesome comic book illustration is particularly good. I also went to see the new Amazing Spider-Man film today, and thought it was better than previous Spider-Mans, so to post this is pretty appropriate.

Painted Pebbles

I painted two Falmouth pebbles today, and then realised that my previously painted pebbles were probably never posted on my blog – I painted quite a few before I moved to Cornwall/went to uni and thus before this blog was around. I still quite like them, so worth sharing I think.

Wicken Fen

I took the coach to Cambridge today to meet Ruby and find out about her new warden position at Wicken Fen (National Trust). She took me for a little guided tour of the place. Although we got absolutely soaked in the first half of the afternoon it was a lovely day and the sun came out, as did my camera, after a little while.
