On placement at Lethal

Whilst on placement at Lethal I designed a series of vinyl covers for The Setting Son's album Before I Eat My Eyes And Ears. This included drawing custom lettering, at first by hand and then in Illustrator, and editing in Photoshop.

Leopallooza Festival & Bude

This weekend was a lovely sunny Cornish music festival weekend for me, at Leopallooza near Bude, north Cornwall. I took some photos, as I do.

So it turns out Milton Keynes isn't all that bad. It might not have a beach or be anywhere near the sea but it does have a beautiful park within half an hour from my house. Sitting under a tree in the relative tranquility (there was some grass cutting going on) and reading was lovely.

In other news, I will start volunteering at Oxfam next Thursday which I'm actually pretty excited about. Also, I'm almost all packed for Leopallooza Festival in Bude, Cornwall, this weekend. Very much looking forward to that and for the sea swim that will be happening afterwards on Sunday. Three weeks away from the seaside is a long time for a sea swimmer!

Asparagus Feet

The Sunday before last, Tooze and I were chatting on Skype. We discussed the need for a creative project of some sort, potentially a collaboration, now that we've finished university.

And thus, Asparagus Feet was born. A word-association drawing blog.

Ice Cream

I am currently in the final stages of designing FXU (Falmouth and Exeter Student Union)'s 2012/13 Student Handbook. It will be given out to new students (freshers) starting in September but is also relevant for current students. The photographs inside the handbook have been chosen by FXU but the cover image is my own.

In fact, the ice cream and hand in the photograph are also my own. This was taken at Swanpool Beach, Falmouth, in January 2010. Only in Falmouth can you eat ice cream in January.

Mario Kart

Yeah, I had to have a second take too. That really is Mario Kart in the style of a traditional Japanese ukiyo-e print.
